Day 1 

Arrive Adelaide/Tarndanya 

The wine and festival capital of Australia, Adelaide is a place to experience the buzz, culture and convenience of a city without the frustrations. The city center, surrounded by parklands, is a charming blend of historic buildings, wide streets, groovy shops and a huge variety of street cafes and restaurants. Visit the largest undercover market in the southern hemisphere and taste the best of South Australia at the Adelaide Central Market or enjoy a ride on Adelaide’s tram from the city center to the historic yet vibrant beachside suburb of Glenelg. The city also provides a great launching point to the many attractions surrounding Adelaide, including world class wine regions, the Australian Outback, Kangaroo Island and much more.

 This property is located in the heart of Adelaide and overlooking Rundle Mall. Set within a heritage-listed, renovated Colonial Mutual Life building, and complemented by a stunning "jewel box" additional which beautifully compliments the “Romanesque” style original building. All accommodation rooms offer luxury appointments, featuring locally made products and furnishings. 


Day 2

Adelaide

Full Day McLaren Vale Food and Wine 

This 8 hour tour travels through the scenic Hills via the picturesque town of Clarendon to Coriole winery. They produce an outstanding range of wines, olives, olive oils and cheeses with some exceptional wines styles unique to their winery. Alternatively, you may visit a small producer called Samuels Gorge, where wine maker, Justin MacNamee, will show us his sensational wines and exude the passion for the wines of this region. Visit d’Arenberg winery, which feature a range of outstanding and innovative wines, made by Chester Osbourne from this 4th generation family run winery. Visit Primo Estate winery, a very modern state of the art cellar which highlights some of the Italian wine styles that have influenced this region. Alternatively, you may visit the more rustic Wirra Wirra winery, one of the premium wine producers in the area. Here we will taste their fine wines or travel to the nearby Penny’s Hill, to taste their wide range of wines and enjoy a visual art exhibition of fine Australian artists. In the afternoon if time permits, we will visit more boutique wineries. Other interesting new wineries include Cascabel winery and Hamiltons winery. The area also abounds with almonds, flower farms, herbs, venison, yabbies and cheese producers or you may take a leisurely journey back to Adelaide via the Hills, visiting charming historic Willunga, an old slate mining town. Alternatively, you may return to Adelaide via the magnificent south coast. Upon arrival into Adelaide you will be transferred to your Adelaide accommodation. 


Day 3 

Kangaroo Island

 Island Life Tour (Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun):
Travel through the Island’s most productive country to the north coast. Walk through the bush with your guide – through strangely shaped trees learning what makes that noise, whose tracks are those, and who left THAT little pile there? Look for small wallabies almost extinct on the mainland, a kangaroo found only on Kangaroo Island and a variety of other birds, plants and animals. Break for lunch at a private bush camp and enjoy a delicious meal featuring King George whiting (local sea fish), fresh salads and fine South Australian wines. At Seal Bay Conservation Park take a private tour with your guide among Australian sea-lions on a beautiful sandy beach – an experience similar to that of the Galapagos. Watch pups nursing or playing in the surf, see old bulls bearing the scars of territorial disputes and learn about their unique breeding biology.
Arrive at your accommodation late afternoon and enjoy dinner which has been included this evening.

Day 4 

Kangaroo Island to Adelaide/Tarndanya

Enjoy breakfast this morning before being met by your guide for a full day sightseeing tour.
 

Flinders Chase Focus Tour (Tue, Thu, Sat):
Travel the island’s north-west in an important private wildlife refuge with Kangaroo Island Land for Wildlife. Check out wildlife surveys targeting tiny endangered mammals and get an introduction to the bush, so the fire ecology experienced later in the day has context. Break for an elegant picnic lunch in the bush, featuring marinated poached chicken, fresh salads, cheeses and fantastic South Australian wine, beer, soft drinks and spring water. After lunch, travel into Flinders Chase National Park and explore the massive shapes of Remarkable Rocks, a natural sculpture perched impossibly on top of a dome of granite emerging from the ocean. Evidence of the power of the Southern Ocean swell continues at Admirals Arch – a coastal grotto which provides a haul out for a large colony of Long-nosed fur seals who swim effortlessly through the crashing waves.

Note:Day tours operate alternative days. Itinerary may swap around depending on the arrival day.  


On conclusion of your tour you will be transferred to Kingscote Airport for your return flight to Adelaide.

Adelaide

Morning Dolphin Sanctuary Guided Eco Kayak Tour 

Your 3 hour tour provides you with the opportunity to paddle through a 10,000 year old mangrove forest amidst hundreds of migrating and native dolphin species. It is a special experience that simply can’t be replicated. During the tour, you will come across a number of wildlife and shipwreck sighting opportunities. You will listen to local Aboriginal stories. The mangrove forest makes the ultimate feeding grounds for dolphins due to the abundance of seagrass, saltmarsh, and the tidal flats and creeks.

Day 6 

Yarra Valley

  

This 8 hour tour provides you with an opportunity to visit one of Australia’s leading wine making regions, just a short drive from Melbourne. With a picturesque backdrop of the Yarra Ranges as well as renowned restaurants throughout the area, wine and food lovers alike will revel in everything the Yarra Valley has to offer. Enjoy lunch at one of the regions picturesque vineyard restaurants, either TarraWarra Estate or Oakridge Estate followed by more time exploring the region meeting local characters and sampling wine from boutique wineries such as Yarra Yering, Coldstream Hills and Yering Farm. Avoiding the crowds of the larger wineries – the tour will be tailored to suit your tastes. Visit the Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary, regarded as one of Australia’s leading wildlife reserves, the Healesville Sanctuary has over 200 species of Australian birds and animals in pristine ‘Aussie’ bush land. Return to Melbourne, where you will be transferred to your Melbourne accommodation.


Day 7 

Melbourne

Half Day Private Lanes & Arcades Tour 

  

Have you ever been to a city and wondered what all the fuss was about? Or wasted time trying to find that cool cafe you were told of and ended up missing everything? Enjoy a 3 hour walk through Melbourne's beautiful back streets and get orientated in the life of the city that locals love. Discover local designers and specialty retailers that often are only found in the city. Some of the quirkiest cafes, independent designers, street art, architecture and historical tales are found in these walkways. There is something for everyone. See over 30 stores on this casual stroll and return to those you like best in the afternoon. At the conclusion of your tour, make your own way to your accommodation.


Day 8 

Phillip Island

Full Day Phillip Island & Moonlit Sanctuary with Dinner 


Your 8 to 10 hour tour provides you with the opportunity to travel to Phillip Island to witness the evening ritual of the Penguin Parade. Stop at the Moonlit Sanctuary Conservation Park where you will meet endangered species, kangaroos, wallabies and koalas plus an array of colorful birds and reptiles. Travel onto Phillip Island, the home of the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix and our famous Little Penguins. Upon arrival on the island, depending on the time of year and your particular interests, you will visit Woolamai beach to see surfers riding the waves. From here, you go to the western corner of the island to enjoy magnificent views of Bass Strait and the Nobbies, which is home to the largest colony of fur seals in Australia. Witness the natural phenomena of the Penguin Parade on floodlit Summerland Beach. You will head to the Visitor Centre to shop, and meander along the boardwalk to the viewing platform where you will see the little penguins come ashore, decked out in their tuxedos as they hurry off to find their burrows. Return to Melbourne, where you will be transferred to your Melbourne city accommodation.

Stop to take in a warm friendly pub as a half way point on your tour, but just for a quick drink...there's a lot to see. At the conclusion of your tour, make your own way to your Sydney accommodation.

Full Day Private Blue Mountains Hiking Diamond Day 

This 9.5 to 10 hour tour travels to the Blue Mountains. Stop at Calmsley Hill, a working farm also home to Kangaroo, Emu, Wombat and Koala. Enjoy morning tea and time to wander at leisure. Visit one of a range of stunning outlooks of the Jamison Valley seeing beautiful vistas and enjoy a stress and hurry free environment. Arrive at Eaglehawk Lookout, a remote lookout point away from the crowds for views of the famous Three Sisters. The character of the Three Sisters changes throughout the day as the sunlight brings out the magnificent colors. Arrive at Evans Lookout where you will be issued your lunch pack and instructions on the hiking track. You will cross a number of valleys and ridges as you hike from Evans Lookout to Govetts Leap all the while looking out across Australia’s Grand Canyon, The Grose Valley. The hike concludes at Govetts Leap, one of the most famous lookouts in Australia. Your last stop at the Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens where there is time for a short inspection of the flora including the ancient Wollemi Pine (Wollemia Nobilis). Return to Sydney, where you will be transferred to your Sydney city accommodation.

Summit by Day

Your 3 hour   tour commences with a comprehensive briefing and safety demonstration, before   you are led by one of BridgeClimb’s Climb Leaders, on a guided   journey to the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The tour takes you   along the top arch of the Bridge on catwalks and ladders all the way to the   summit, 134 metres above Sydney Harbour. The steady incline to the summit   leaves you free to focus your attention on the surroundings, with the   opportunity to witness 360 degree views of Sydney including east to the   Sydney Opera House, west to the Blue Mountains and the Harbour City   surrounds.
